CLIENT: Wayfair Registry

Wayfair one of the world’s largest online destinations for home furnishings and décor, unveiled Wayfair Registry, the first wedding registry to offer endless options for every room of the house across all styles and price points. Wayfair Registry makes it easier than ever before for nearly-weds to conveniently register for everything home, all in one place, by selecting from more than seven million products including traditional registry items such as houseware and table top essentials, plus the largest online selection of furnishings and décor. Accessible on desktop, mobile app and tablet.

 

OBJECTIVES: To provide a seamless experience from on boarding to checkout where couples can create a gift registry and add products and where guests can easily find registrants and purchase items from their curated selection. 

MY ROLE: 

  •  RESEARCH -  Compose user surveys and conduct useability testing to uncover pain points
  •  WHITEBOARDING/WIREFRAMES -  Sketches based on research findings translated to lo-fidelity wireframes created in Sketch. These helped to more clearly define the functionality and use-cases when presenting new or revised features to stakeholders
  •  PROTOTYPES and USER FLOWS  - Communicate to product managers, visual designers and engineering through clickable prototypes created in Invision and flows created in Sketch

The goal here is to provide an experience for registrants to redeem bonus gifts that they would become eligible to receive when guests purchase qualifying products from their registry. 

REGISTRY SPECIALISTS PAGE

One of the benefits of creating a Wayfair Registry is having access to the Registry Specialists. Different from customer service, this group is available to answer questions on creating a registry and to guide new users through the process. The goal of this project was to create an experience that would help foster this relationship.
